What would you rather do: Have a root canal? Or Have Your Taxes Done?

  1. I'll take a root canal...it's less painful!

Is it just me? Getting my taxes done and having to go through all of that stuff is one of the low points of my year, without fail.

Wait, you mean fill out the forms, or do you mean pay them at all? If the former, the forms. If the latter, easily the root canal.

I'm in desperate need of both. The big difference is, I look forward to when I finally get my dental work taken care of.

Taxes are easy for me....I collect the W-2's, 1099's, etc. as they come in, then go to my CPA and have him do the dirty work. I always get money back, so I actually look forward to it.

I'm lucky enough to always get money back from Uncle Sam, so I look forward to tax time.

VISA will be happy too after I pay them off with the money I get back, lol.

In my only root canal, the dentist (in Nashville) began each of the four sessions by raising his eyes skyward and saying, "Gentle Jesus, guide my hands."

At the end of the 4th session, he said, "Sorry, it failed. The tooth will have to come out."

Did Jesus know that I'm Jewish?

I choose taxes. Gentle Jesus, guide my CPA.

Taxes are easy (I operate my own business and have investment income).

Root canals are painless (I've had several). But root canals are expensive costing around $1,000 each (but usually tax deductible).

I try to plan that I pay the IRS $2,000 each March - that way I earn the interest on my money (around $50 this year which treats me and my wife to a nice dinner).
