Wow thanks for all the thoughts and opinions! I actually did a researching online searching for jobs that require a degree in Criminal Justice and there were some that popped up with this degree listed as a requirement that I would consider. However I think I just stumbled upon the perfect program for me! Ill share details later ;) But I have narrowed it down to Counseling and one other :) I actually was able to find a distance learning CACREP counseling program that is distance learning and does not cost 40k to get it. Kinda excited :)

You could also consider rehabilitation counsleing. There are 15-16 distance programs around the country. All are elegible for the certified rehabilitation counsleor credential. Most are elegible for state licensure. As a rehabilitation counselor you can work across many settings. Many rehab folks work in forensic rehabilitation and as counsultants on disability and injury related court cases. University of Arkansas Little Rock may be the most affordable. Other schools include San Diego State University, Utah State, Auburn University, University of North Texas, Wright State University, Assumption College and Georgia State. There are others. If funding is an issue, some schools have stipends if you agree to work in state/federal rehabilitation agencies or the veteran's administration. Feel free to send a private message and I can get you other information.
