I think perhaps it used to, but the last page of this year's National Universities ranking ends with tier two schools, and two "unranked" schools after that.

The thing is, with things split up among national universities, national liberal arts colleges, and various regional categories, none of this is much help for those interested in what might be a good fit for them as an undergraduate, and it's even less meaningful for prospective grad students.

Also, I disagree that the schools on the National Universities list are the only ones that matter. The National Liberal Arts Colleges category has many schools where most parents would be delighted to be able to send their kids. And don't discount the regional lists either, for example James Madison University in Virginia, which is very well regarded here, is on the list of Regional Universities in the South. Interestingly, JMU is on that list even though it offers doctoral programs, so that's not an automatic qualifier for the National Universities category.

Thanks for the suggestions and commentary! i didn't mean to swat a bee's nest with the tier 1/2 comment, although it has been interesting seeing everyones opinions. We all have them, and so do employers, specifically university employers.

I suggested that I wanted to get the best possible (perhaps ranked) college as possible that offered a online doctoral degree. Knowing that rankings do come with a variety of opinions, criteria, etc, etc...

A couple that I have picked up on so far are:
    ~ Colorado State, PhD
    ~ Northeastern University, EdD
~ University of Memphis, EdD x2 *(GRE Required)
    ~ Old Dominion University, EdD
~ University of Colorado (Denver), EdD
~ University of Nebraska (Lincoln), PhD & EdD *(GRE Required, some on-campus too)

    Keep ' em coming... THX!!!
