I think you mention $78 per credit! These are great reason and I am planning to get my AS from Florida State College of Jacksonville. Who knows, I may get a BS from UF later.

When I considered that I'll be going on for my Master's and Doctorate, it seemed kind of silly to spend the extra $250 or so just to get the AA. For not much more money, I could get a 2nd bachelor's, which would fit a lot better with my goals.

And as someone else mentioned, it might seem kind of weird having it so close to the bachelor's. If it were something where I got the AA in '10 and the BA in '11 that would probably be less weird.

I earned an AA back in 87. I was proud of it. Then I started working at a place where people used the letters to the right of the name. I got annoyed with it as it has always sort of annoyed me. so I started signing my stuff.

Is the Control Data Institute still around. I did some looking and found nothing, not even a wii page.

The Control Data Institute was a subsidiary of the Control Data Corporation, a computer maker that was famous for making high performance systems (and also as Seymour Cray's employer before he left to found his own supercomputer company). The company broke up in 1991, some parts still survive as pieces of companies like Seimens, Seagate, Citibank, and Ceridian. The company's archives are now held at the University of Minnesota, with the exception of student records, which were turned over to the state Departments of Education in the states where CDI had a presence.
