You will find that being addressed as such never gets old. When you retire from the Army as a colonel, you aren't a colonel anymore. When you retire from the police department as an officer, you aren't an officer anymore. But when you're a doctor, it's for life.

That is really a tough question. I would have to go with a NO WAY!!!!!. I feel as though I lost a solid two years of living just to complete this. I am now doing things that I enjoy and forgot what that feels like - how sad is that? Of course, I reserve the right to change my mind if/after I see the benefits of earning a PhD.

 

Exactly, because, if you didn't get the degree, you would still be 2 years older. The time passes no matter what you do and you invested your time wisely. What would you have if you had just spent the time goofing off? Nothing. You might have had more fun, but you would have nothing to show for it.

Would you mind copying and pasting this back to me in about a year when I want to quit on my doctorate? :smile:
