O.K., I was cleaning out my closet where I put all the stuff I didn't want to deal with when I moved here a year and a half ago (don't look at me like that - you all know you have a place for junk in your own houses just like that :theyareontome: ). So I looked in a box & found my daughter's degree from UMass Amherst (why on earth she felt that I was more trustworthy than she to take care of it, well, that's something I'll never know. ). Anyway, I wanted to let you know - hers just says "Bachelor of Arts." Yeah, yeah - it's not Bachelor IN Arts, but that's not my point. I thought it would mention her major (in fact, I hoped it would.. because I forgot what her major was & it's embarrassing when people ask me.. "duh... I forget!" :dunce: )

I mean, you go through all that work - and the loans she'll probably be paying until she's my age (I didn't know about distance learning back then, sad to say) - and all they can say is, you've got a bachelor's?!! How cheap, UMA!!

    :soapbox:

A relative of mine doesn't even know what her degree says, because it is written in Latin :soapbox:

Yes. Associate in Arts (CCC), Associate of Arts (ACC), and Associate of Applied Science (CTC). Years after earning the first AA through CCC, I decided to work on a bachelors. However, many more lower-level, undergraduate credits were still required before I could qualify for Jr-Sr level. In essence, the second associate degree from ACC resulted from taking classes for my BA.
