Hi, are ed2go courses valuable ? I have seen many good universities offering courses in collaboration with ed2go. Does these universities also award Certificate of Completion or not ?

We used Ed2Go for preparing my daughter for the DSST Personal Finance Exam, and there is a certificate of completion for it.

I took an HTML course through ed2go and Oregon State University. The university's role seemed limited to hosting the space for the course and providing their name. The course was a series of 12 self-study units with final quizzes and some homework. The certificate was a self-print PDF, and it did contain the name of the school if I remember correctly.

I paid $100 for the course, and even though there were no bells and whistles, I was satisfied with what I got out of the class and would take a another one.

What is the benefit of enrolling "through" a college rather than "through" ed2go?
Is "fast" really what you want from a $130 noncredit course?

The certificate looks actually quite crappy. I think it was even a Html certificate, e.g. the university name only dynamically generated. It didn't even include the University seal/logo. Imho. not worth the money from a resume building standpoint.
