Hi all! I am in the process of completing my degree and I was wondering if anyone could share their online experience with Clovis? I would like to take an online statistics class, but I am a little apprehensive because I am not a math whiz! Any recommendations in terms of a good online stats class?? Anyone take stats at Clovis? I did college algebra online and I managed to get an A despite the fact that the instructor had zero interaction with any of us!! Thank you all in advance!!

ALEKS really helped me appreciate math & they have 3 stat courses (if ACE is accepted by your U). There is also Straighterline.

I did not take that class but CLovis is great and cheap. I think that class has proctored exams.

    thank you for responding :)

Unfortunately, I do not think that my school will accept either ALEKS or ACE. Would have been nice though! I think that I am going to just stick with regular online courses for now because I know that they will definitely transfer.

Clovis is definitely affordable! I did notice that when you go over 6 credits, the fees go up dramatically. That is unfortunate because I would have liked to take more courses there this semester. CNM (central new mexico community college) also appears to be quite cheap. Anyone have any experience with this online college? Like many, I am looking for the fastest, most affordable route. Thank you!! best wishes

You could do NM CC and get 12 credits. I have found others online that are just as cheap.

That is great to know! Is the cost the same per class for 12 credits through NM cc?? Do you mind sharing the names of the other online colleges that offer cheap courses? The cheapest school in my area ( I live in CT) is our local community college and the tuition for a 3 credit course is about $450.......ridiculous! Thank you!!

Haven't taken stats at Clovis yet but from all the other courses I've taken there, I would highly recommend them. Truely cheap and great for the price. People are also very helpful.

Sorry for the late response......What I meant is that you can take 6 at Clovis and 6 at NM CC for a total of 12.

yes, check NM community colleges, most of them will allow you to take 6 credits at in-state tuition rate. I have not seen other school priced as low as Clovis but you can always check and lets us know if you find a good deal :)

Thank you all for your help! It is greatly appreciated :) I am taking my first class online (human biology 1 with lab) through Clovis and so far, it's been great! Everyone over there was so helpful during the registration process. I am going to send my transcripts over to CNM CC so that I can register there in the spring. My plan is to take 6 credits at Clovis and 6 credits over at CNM. You cannot beat the price!! Well, at least I have not found anything cheaper yet! Thanks again guys....hope you all have a wonderful fall semester. Good luck!

Do Clovis fees go up after 6 credits total? Or can you take up to 6 credits per semester at in-state rates?

Actually isn't it 7 credits? I know I took 7 credits through them and it was less than 200 total for both classes.

Only when we took classes in the summer, the rest of the year you at six for one price. In the summer it goes to 7 for one price. So in the summer you get one extra credit tossed in.

Oh! What classes are you taking through them right now? I have a photography class and another religion course right now on top of my 2 university courses that are kicking my a$$ this term!
