Okay - I may be insane and my wife will probably confirm that I am... but, I am looking into DBA options.

I would like to hear suggestions for the least-expensive AACSB DBA that can be done mostly online. I am expecting that there will be required residencies, but I need to minimize those...

So, my only 3 criterion in order of importance are:

    1) AACSB DBA
    2) Price
    3) Flexibility (mostly onlne with minimal residencies)

Thanks for the advise in advance...

There is a huge thread in the "sticky" section on low cost DBA and Phd, just in case you missed that. Maybe this question will bring up new programs as the other one ran out of steam.

If there is a low cost, AACSB, minimal residency DBA out there I would enjoy hearing about it also.

I think cheap AACSB degree is an oxymoron. Kinda like "jumbo shrimp" or "crash landing". Those two words just don't go together! :)

Georgia State University offers one, though I am not sure what the residency requirements are. Solid business school though.

Georgia State EDBA: "Tuition for the three-year program is currently $99,500, which covers tuition, books and food while on campus. Travel and lodging expenses are not covered."

    Multiple residencies per semester.

Kinda makes the Kennesaw State DBA seem cheap at $83,500.

These programs have souring rates of tuition, must be a heck of a market.

I think the bill is typically picked up by the executive's employer so they don't mind charging ridiculous rates. It's funny, because if you attended a PhD/DBA program in residence, full-time they would likely pay you (barely enough to live on) to earn the degree.

If you don't mind Australia, QUT has an external PhD but it might not be considered cheap.

I think that unless Aspen is planning to get AACSB accreditation, you would need to dish the 60K+ to get one.
