I did. UoP happened roughly at the same time. It wasn't that I did UoP first and then something else. The community college never even asked about UoP.

Hi all, thanks to everyone who contributed more info. I'm already enrolled at WNMU, so I think I'm going to finish up this program and see where I'm at then. They do have some great teachers and the price is right. I'm anxious to take a writing class with them, thus far I've only taken literature classes. I learn a lot in lit classes as well, but I'm excited to take actual writing classes in the spring. :)

It may be easier to stay in the same school rather than switching.

You may, if it fits in your schedule, audit some writing courses.

But could you use it to get a job in a 4-year college? Wouldn't the MFA be better for that purpose?

    National University MFA Program

    Hi All,

I'm the lead faculty member of National University's MFA program in creative writing. Since I saw the program was discussed on this thread, I thought I'd share the link to our new program website/blog

Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing | National University

You can find a lot more information on the program there and see if it is right for you. The FAQ discusses many of the questions in this thread. Also, feel free to email me at [email protected] and I'll be happy to provide more information.

Frank Montesonti, Masters in Fine Arts in Creative Writing Program Lead Faculty.
