Has anyone who attended an online program been inducted into an academic society-Alpha Chi, Alpha Sigma Lambda, etc (preferrably on a graduate level)?

A former officer I worked with was let into one while attending CC online. I'm not sure if this helps, but he did his whole degree online and only went to the school to grad. He got to where the honor society garb when he walked.

Yes, through TESC. Sadly, I don't recall which honor society I'm in. I'd have to go dig out the packet.

I graduated with 3.92 GPA for my MBA at AJU and was nominated for a membership at Delta Epsilon Tau. However, I believe that the TS was referring to "traditional" honor societies instead of DET, which specializes in distance learning programs/institutions. CMIIW.

Is there a "point" to being in DET? I'm wondering if it's worth the 25 bucks after I finish at PFC.

I was inducted into Alpha Chi for my undergrad at Peru Sate College. Also I was offered to be inducted into Delta Epsilon Tau for my Associates at Ashworth. APUS has several honor societies open for both undergrad and grad students.

    Excuse my ignorance

Hello. Sorry for asking the stupid question: what are these famous societies and what benefits do they bring?

Did you join during your Masters program? EC doesn't have a chapter, which sucks... it looks good on resumes and school applications.
