GWU is about twice as expensive as NU for their respective MSPM programs, so I can't help but wonder if in this case you get what you pay for. I'd expect something has to be superior with such a price tag, in either academics or reputation.

In terms of how an HR Person or a hiring manager in the field look at it on a resume. Or in terms of how the programs are perceived in the PM world. Lots of schools have good programs, but for example - an MBA from Syracuse University is not an MBA from Harvard, the degree from Harvard is generally considered a superior degree, so that is the distinction I'm trying to make. How are programs seen out there in the world, while the Harvard example is a commonly known example of this, and not that there aren't a number of schools that have programs that are as good or very close, some schools offer programs that are better than others, and in the PM world, I have had a difficult time collecting data that is more than purely subjective.

You can get some idea from looking at the various schools rankings as a whole and their business departments, but the Northeastern program is not part of their business program, and the College of Professional Studies does not appear to be ranked in any USNEWS or Princeton review I can find. Maybe there is some writing on the wall I should read there because the individual college is not ranked, but again - that is not clear data, it is a subjective guess.

I doubt it. GWU is the most expensive university in the country at the undergraduate level and there are a large number of universities that are academically superior. Most of GW's programs are overpriced, in my opinion.

Hello Everyone… I am the Intel PM  . First to Mike – thanks for inviting me to this discussion post. I most likely will not be too active in this forum so if there’s a specific question, I can be reached by email at: [email protected] or on LinkedIn at: Jeff Hodgkinson - LinkedIn I’ve read through most of the post and would suggest you contact me directly and we can discuss by phone as the explanation takes a few tangents and too much to write… JGH
