This is a very good suggestion and it falls in line with my suggestion of finding a good DETC school with more lenient entry requirements. Tabs1063, I really think you should look seriously into this.

Michael, I'm sorry if I confused you. The second link is to Florida Atlantic University College of Business, which is AACSB accredited.

I can't attest to either school but in doing some research another CPA posted that FAU allowed him admission without a completed bachelors but he did state he had a significant number of undergrad credits. Still, a phone call should provide an answer to the OP.

Thanks, Kevin. I obviously didn't check the links, thanks for the correction. But if he could get into an AACSB school, that would be much better. The cream of the crop, as they say.

You'll find that the requirement of having a Masters before pursuing a PhD is largely limited to online schools Stefan.

Most people pursuing a PhD in brick and mortar world do it directly from an undergrad program and by happenstance request a MA to be conferred once all coursework is completed and prior to passing comprehensives thus moving on to dissertation.. or alternatively request a masters after blowing their comprehensives.

    Just a thought.

That works in many fields, but I'm pondering an Ed.D. (at a brick and mortar school), and the requirement for a prior master's is fairly common.

Still a little off topic of MST, but just to follow up my own post, here is a "Triple Accredited" - (AACSB, EQUIS & AMBA) MBA and MBA-Finance with an "Open Enrolment" Option: Global Learning Centre : How to apply - Durham University

    Thanks

Thanks for all of the great suggestions! I've already had preliminary discussions with some of the faculty, assistant Deans, and professors and have some great leads.

    @ tabs1063 - Tax Court Exam

@ tabs1063 - Have you considered taking the tax court exam. It is given every 2 years, and most fail. No degree required. If you pass, not only are you are in an elite club, you can expand upon your abilities as an enrolled agent and argue cases before the tax court, just like an attorney. I am impressed regarding your passing of the CPA exam. Fast Forward Academy has a course for those looking to pass the EA Exam, also no degree required.
