Any DL/Online Program Offered by Singaporean Universities?

I know that there are presently 5 local universities in Singapore, but I cannot seem to find any DL/Online program offered by any one of them?

So do you guys know if any Singaporean uni actually offers DL/Online learning programs? If so, can you please provide a link?

Sadly I am not from Singapore, but I do love the country, especially the food such as Hainanese Chicken Rice etc.

The only reason I am asking the original question is due to the fact that I am thinking about experiencing some sort of DL/Online studies with an Asian university, so was just trying to gather relevant info on Singaporean universities etc.

Try not to do distance learning programs in Asia as the agent or partner of the university from abroad may try to take advantage of you as a friend of mine found out with down under CSU either by claims of one off payment and later make you pay endlessly. The low cost may turn out to be high cost. By right the university is liable for the actions of its partner but usually due to separate jurisdiction they absolve themselves off all responsibility for the candidate. It turned out to be an expensive lesson for my friend who not only lost USD9000 but all the effort that was placed in the program. Further, the university recruited supervisors who were uncommitted but more materialistic in agenda, so really money was the only criteria in establishing the program in the first place. Of course, the university wanted to show that it had some passes to protect itself from insinuations. But really the damaged was already done and money collected up front. It should have made clear that monies should be by installments to protect the student but was cunning by saying if you pay up you pay less.

 

I guess your friend's case is either a sad story or he may not have exercised his due diligence properly. But what you have stated about not doing DL program from Asian university is a very strong statement. Anyway, CSU (I believe this is Charles Stuart Uni) is an Australian Uni, not Asian Uni.

There are many good Asian universities but generally DL programs from these universities are rare. Even for open universities in Asia, you would have to do it within the country typically.

Check carefully if there is any residential requirements ... or taking exams in Hong Kong too.

 

Thanks for the warning, that's why I only look into the programs that are offered directly by the universities etc.

BTW, I don't believe CSU should be classified as an Asian university

I am probably more interested in tourism, media and marketing (I guess if it's marketing-related, then I will likely to be interested in more specialised courses instead of a degree as I already holds a Bachelor of Management [Marketing] and is currently doing a Graduate Certificate in Marketing Communication).

I did come across OUHK, and saved it on my "for further review list", but the DL/Online programs were fairly limited to be honest.

I think PSB Academy | Part Time / Full Time Degree Courses, Diploma in Business Administration, Executive Development & Bachelor of Life Sciences, University of Singapore offers quite a few courses but more towards part time rather than DL/Online. I think you can get the same courses DL by contacting the universities directly especially the Australian ones. The State universities wise, the only one is what Octobersky pointed out MSc Financial Engineering from NUS, but it seems quite costly.
