It can be inexpensive if you combine your credits from different places such as CLEP, Clovis Community College, independent study from BYU and LSU and University of Wyoming. The few schools like Charter Oak are like credit consolodation agencies: transfer in everything, pay your fees and get your degree. I have no direct experience with Charter Oak, except that they answer questions via email very quickly (within 24 hours, often within 6 gours), which is something I can't even say of Excelsior, whom I am enrolled with.

I would not recommend these types of schools to someone who is just starting out with no credit, basically because the benefits are few and the fees really high if you don't have much to transfer in. Most US colleges will allow you to transfer in a large ammount of credit anyway, usually leaving 30 or so that have to be obtained from that same college you are getting your degree from. For this reason, I am not pursuing further than an AA with Excelsior (which is very simmilar to charter oak).

Aquarious- what kind of degree are you looking for? If you tell us what major(s) you want, we can let you know of some US schools- although I am still working on a rinky dink AA, I have researched online degree programs extensively and might know something that could work for you. Others here would know better about Austrailian schools.

I'm looking to complete both Bachelor's & Master's degrees in Education. I do have a diploma in Child Day Care Management, 2 semester of BBA, currently doing Certificate in Child Psychology (which I plan to finish in another 2-3 months) & am also doing Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education (but I want to transfer to a Bachelor's degree instead). Also I'm looking for universities where I might be able to work on Master's along with Bachelor's to finish faster. Any help will be appreciated.
