Basically how it works is before someone can ask a question (most questions are college level) they must pay money into the system. Once you answer the question and they accept, you get paid. You answer questions in the field your degree is in. Her worst month was $1,200 and her best was $3,300. She told me they are taking as many people as they can get, and they are still over whelmed with questions. Just passing the word if anyone is looking for some side money.

I clicked on the link you provided and was shocked to suddenly realize that it's a website that is commonly used for plagiarism by online students.

I have personally caught students using this particular service to help write their papers, thus resulting in an extraordinarily high Turnitin score i.e. students have used it for plagiarism.

 

I had no idea, I just went there to get the link. Sorry if it's bad.

 

I too clicked on the link and didn't see any indication that the site could be used for plagiarism. It looks like people just ask a question about something and get an answer.

After checking it out a little bit more- a question pays about $10. If you are a new expert you get 25% of that. The highest ever is when you are an experienced expert and you'll get 50%. So, to earn $3000 per month at the highest tier means you are answering $6000 worth of questions. Even if you work every week day, that's 30 questions per day.
That's not really side money- that would be a full time job! I couldn't even post 30 times HERE in one day? In an 8 hour day, you are looking at no more than 16 minutes per composed answer - and that's if you don't eat or pee.
OTOH, if someone is making $$$ (besides Just Answer) I say go for it.

 

Ok I looked into this instead of just taking it at face value from my friend. Here is a clip from GMA about it as well YouTube - JustAnswer - Good Morning America . There are a ton of different things that are asked, even some cheating. But it appears there are a lot of college kids that get stuck on a project and just need some help or something explained to them. I saw some interesting questions, one student was asking where they could locate information on the Picard language and who spoke it paid $25.

 

Dude I was just there and saw that most questions were going for way more than $10.

Nice catch with that one. I am sorry le viet I do not believe you will be working as a professor . Your degree will not meet the required qualifications for just answers I don't think.

 

That's what I was thinking. I looked into the site some and could essentially make a killing from my experience as a professional Mac Tech. I already do this same thing for free as a volunteer tech at MacOSX.com and I am one of the top volunteer techs they have. But at the same time, anybody that is half way tech savvy could essentially find the answers for free, unless it's a really unique issue they are having. In the case that its a really unique issue and there is no answer posted anywhere else, who's to say paying for an answer will get them one? I was about to sign up, but I'm leery of giving out any of my details to anyone. They hire a third party to do background checks on potential experts to verify education, experience, certifications, etc. Also, they stated that they sometimes charge potential experts for some of the costs associated with performing the background checks on you. Beyond that if someone wants a refund for an answer, they are likely to yank the money out of what they paid you to answer the question at their discretion. I looked through some of the questions and most of the questions were more than one line answers. Experts seemed to have an ongoing dialogue going with folks seeking help, until (I assume?) the person answering the question was satisfied. So essentially you would need to ask questions to gather more details and wait for replies, therefor earning your $10-$20 bucks for every question could take some time. Also, it looked like there was some degree of damage control in some posts because since people are paying for answers, they get a little snotty towards the experts if they are not satisfied with an answer. Doesn't look like anything to quit my day job over and the extra money may not add up to much.

 

Yeah, you're right. I spent some more time looking around on that site. The average price seems to be about $15 and they go up from there to about $30.

Very few of the questions were for $10 or less.

 

Okay, you're right. I signed up and was accepted as an "expert" for this site for the homework section. I naively thought students would be looking for clarification on concepts and so forth......but they are just out right asking the "experts" to do the assignments for them. It's a total plagiarism site.
