During an off topic discussion by another student in my Ph.D program he mentioned that he wanted to teach at U.G.A once he finished up this degree, to which the course instructor pointed out that many schools are looking for applicants from AACSB schools and that: While TUI is looking forward to AACSB accreditation, it may take up to five years for the process to be over with.

I'm interested to see what happens next.

I'm not sure. I'm going to follow up with her this week and see what I can find out.

Weren't they under losing RA just in the last few years? If they are indeed struggling with keeping RA, they have no chance with AACSB. When I looked for a program back in 03, I was told the same thing, then the RA situation. I don't buy it, I think they are trying to put the carrot out there. AACSB is a tough one to get.

I concur. It will be very hard for a for-profit institution to achieve AACSB accreditation (Affiliation).
