I'm looking at pursuing a master's in economics so that I can teach here at our local community college. Does anyone know of a viable distance learning program (with no residency requirements) at the graduate level? I would prefer it not be an MBA, as I'm not really looking at a business degree, but if that's the only option, then I'll consider it. I searched some past threads, but I didn't see anything. Thanks for your insights!
I posed this question a few months ago and it seems options are limited. If I recall correctly, the best, if not the only, option is the University of London's external program.
UND has a masters in applied economics via DL: Master of Science in Applied Economics (MSAE) | Online & Distance Education

Tuition free Ph.D. in Economics ????? Here is a tuition free PhD in Economics Economics PhD - Tuition - SMC University I know nothing about this institution (which was the subject of a question on another thread).
If I remember it correctly, SMC was charging over EUR 25,000 for the PhD program when it first came out. Why did they drop the price so much? To attract more students???
UF offers an online masters in Pharmacoeconomics. This might allow you to teach either eco courses, or perhaps health care admin courses. Master of Science in Pharmacy - Applied Pharmacoeconomics
Boston University's Metropolitan College offers a Master's in Administrative Studies with a concentration in Financial Economics. Financial Economics Degree | Graduate Degree Programs | Boston University Metropolitan College
I see no indication that this is a distance learning degree and in fact is not listed on the schools online degree page: Boston University Metropolitan College Offers Online Study Programs From a Boston University Graduate School
I was basing my comment on what I was told by an acquaintance of mine that works in their admissions office. If I was mistaken, I apologize for any confusion I may have caused.
