    Is USF becoming like Excelsior?

It says "Since CLEP credits are considered a four-year source, there is no limit to the number of credits students can earn through CLEP"

Please the mor perceptive members should check this link and educate us. http://www.cps.usfca.edu/extended_education/pdf/CLEP.pdf

I suspect that the limits are going to crop up when students try to fit the list of acceptable CLEPs into their particular undergraduate programs. Only a limited number of them are likely to be applicable to syllabus requirements.

Does USF offer DL programs? I'm aware that they offer quite a few remote site programs around the bay area, but I don't recall hearing anything about fully online or correspondence programs.

From the USF Undergraduate Transfer Policies and Procedures Handbook

    and

So there's still a residency requirement, even though you can transfer as many credits as you could possibly want to into the school.

That's the difference between USF and the Big Three.

I think SUNY/ESC has the same policy. They even allow credit for certain certifications, have prior learning assessments and grant credit for GRE. Their residency requirement is 36 credits. Not bad. I almost went with them instead of Excelsior.
