Hi, i am looking to transfer to another university to continue my PhD in business. and contact some universities like phoenix and others but some refuse to transfer credits, some i have to attend some classes but i can not because i am very far and it will cost a lots and others are expensive ?! but finally i found the following business universities and school and i need your comments please or advice. California InterContinental University 100% distance learning university of Atlanta 100% distance learning SMC university - Swiss Management business . 99% distance learning and face to face for dissertation defense I like them cos the prices are good, distance , accredited ( but not accredited in my country but i don't care cos i am running my own business ) , and i can finish in less that 24 months because already i spent 2 and half year in my program
To the best of my knowledge, there are no legitimate doctoral programs that will accept more than 25% of the credits for work (or experience) done elsewhere. (I don't think this is a good thing, but that's how it is.) But sometimes they 'work around' that with creative use of independent study courses. The off-the-record message, "Because of your prior work or experience, you can take three 4-unit independent study courses, but some/most/all of the work can be based on what you already know or did." This sort of thing is why I always included a "Bending the rules" section in my book. John Bear Bears Guide to Earning Degrees by Distance Learning
If accreditation is not an issue for you, I would think you have quite a few choices. Depends on how far down the ladder you want to go in getting someone to accept experience as credit.
thank you for your answer. ofcourse accreditation important but the rules in my country, only a full time study will be accredit, then i have to be a way minimum 20 days each semester . i can not the reason i want 100% distance learning becasue already i spent and covered all the classes as a full time but for the dessertation i can not continue as a full time because i am running my business and i need more time
Maybe this D.Prof. by public works might be woth investigating: http://www.mdx.ac.uk/aboutus/Schools/iwbl/our_courses/MProf_DProf/index.aspx
