Here is the link for the program:
TIG - Geosciences Distance Learning Programs - Mississippi State University

Overall....10 core courses and 2 field courses (Summer) with the option of an additional 12 advanced courses to compliment what area in Geoscience you would like (Meteorology, Geology, Climatology)

The course structures are interesting....read the text, review the lecture notes (in either pdf or word doc) and watch weekly lecture videos that coincide with the chapter's content....right now there is the option to purchase the lectures on DVD (~$20 for 6 discs) or download them free. Well it is really not free because each semester they charge you $50 per course for technology fees.

So far, about 2/3 of the courses have a workbook manual that one does their applications each week that coincides with the chapter content.

The course are divided up into 4 quarters, usually 3 chapters per quarter, a weekly quiz, 4 quarter tests and 2 exams (mid & final). The quarter tests are based on the workbook manuals.....the quizzes are based on lectures and readings...and the exams are comprehensive of each half of the course.

The quizzes you can open as many times and revisit to input you answers - only one submission allowed ... usually you have about 3 weeks to do a quiz.... the tests and exams are all one shot and timed (about 60-65 min total).
