Nobody is going to be that idiotic to post about tuition rates that are 30 year's old.

He earned his degree within the past five years and if anyone will take the time to do some research, one will easily find many South African universities have doctoral programs under $3,000.

What people have to remember is that one South Afrcan Rand equals 0.133625 U.S. dollars. In other words, my friend's doctorate cost around $18,706.03 South African Rand or $2500 U.S. dollars.

    JWC,

Sorry for the question. I wasn’t calling you stupid. It’s just that a more insightful poster may have anticipated my question regarding when your friend obtained his degree and would have included such in the initial post on the particular subject matter in the first place. Your belated data is much appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Hi Dave,

It's either JD or Doctorate in Accounting. Since it's unlikely that my employer will pay for the degree, I need to find the cheapest and most convenient alternative.

    Hi Bryan,

No problem. It's all good. Face-face conversation is always so much more desired as we can see facial expressions, hear tones, etc. Take care.

David Hapgood described this condition in.....(wait for it).....1971!

I counsel my employees to face it head-on and get the next higher degree.

So where are you going Rich...post-doc work or maybe another PhD or an EdD or a DBA or a DPA or a...pick a letter? What comes after the grand-daddy of them all (a PhD)?

    NBT, of course.

To each, his or her own path.

Probably the radio was talking about California Southern University which just received DETC accreditation. Even though CSU doesn't offer EdD, it does have DBA, PsyD, and JD degrees. I am talking about California Southern University now, not the prestige University of Southern California. Man, it's so confusing.

Yes, you're right; it was California Southern University

And there's the California State University system. That's what virtually every Californian will automatically assume the initials 'CSU' to mean. (In Colorado people probably have different ideas.) There's actually a California state law that makes the initials 'CSU' property of the State of California and restricts their use.
