    A must read!

This is a "must read" for all doctoral students! ...............and anyone who eats "cheese" for that matter.

    My Two Cents

    Hi Randell:

Sorry to hear of your issues with the phase of your studies you are at. I wanted to reply earlier but didn't know how to get across what I wanted to say. I now have and I'd like to share the following passage with you. Good luck, I know things will work out for you b/c you have had the courage to follow your heart and pursue your Ph.D.

What you need to know is this: before a dream is realized, you tested on everything you have learned along the way. This does not happen b/c life is evil, but so that we can, in addition to realizing our dreams, master the lessons we've learned as we moved toward that dream. That's the point at which most people give up. It's the point at which one dies of thrist just when the palm trees have appeared on the horizon. Every search begin's with beginner's luck. And every search ends with the victor's being severely tested.

    Hi not4profit,

Have you started Northeastern's EdD? Looks interesting. How do you like it so far?

    NCU Doctoral Program

I recently completed the NCU "Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies" in Homeland Security, with the aim of continuing on for a DBA in HS (the units all count towards it). Since I'm no longer in the military, the rest of the program is on my own dime (24 units to go). Watching the tuition increase rapidly over the past two years caused me to re-evaluate my plans and I'm about 95% sure I'm going to withdraw and go for a 2nd MA instead, at a different online school, at 2/3 the cost, and in a more enjoyable (for me) field.

I've been reading the debate about NCU costs in other forums, and there are great arguments on both sides, particularly when comparing to other doctoral programs (the few that there are in the online arena). But at the masters level, the cost just isn't justified. The great part is that all my NCU units are current and I've already been informed that they'll transfer :)

Try this... step into the delusional mind of the narcissist for a moment. Then that behavior will make sense.
