    Hi everybody,

    I saw this thread: http://www.degreeinfo.com/forumdisplay.php?f=13

Which is a quick and good solution for me to some things i want to do

Here are some questions i have and hope somebody can answer for me:

1 Where can I do the associate degree with the required 21 hours for
the delaware cpa? And how long does it take to complete?

2 If I want to do an english degree in accounting which one is better:
    ACCA ( www.accaglobal.com ) or CIMA ( www.cimaglobal.com )

Both are similar in price so it is based on the best option!

3 With the CPA certificate, would i be able to meet the requirements for a
top tier MBA school either B & M or online?

4 Has anyone done the delaware route?

I want to do the CUNY degree masters in business leadership and management and feel that my weakness is in the accounting/ financial area.

That is why I am interested in this option.

Don't know about the rest, but if you get your ticket from CIMA or ACCA you can transfer easily into the other and get a lot of Mutual Recognition Agreements.

Check each association and see how they transfer. I will say that getting the ACCA directly with them has an incredible transfer for the M.Sc. in Finance at Heriot Watt

Not sure if you can CLEP since you are outside the US. You could look at LSU certificate in accounting.

CPA could probably provide basic accounting and finance requirement courses if you are not having a business degree at undergrad level. CPA is still a very valuable stand alone qualification.

    Good luck

That is an interesting idea. The certificate requires 15 hours but 21 hours (7 courses) are offered:

I seem to recall that some states have named course requirements, meaning you have to take specific courses. For example, you really need two semesters of intermediate accounting, but LSU doesn't offer those on the certificate page. Other courses, such as intermediate accounting are listed here:
