I'll tell you something. Virtually all of these courses can be taken at UNISA. The main thing that kills that deal for me is that I'd need to fly to NYC to take the exam(s). So that's the airfare, plus the loss of a day of work, plus (poosibly) overnight accomodations and so the initial apparent low cost of a UNISA course balloons very quickly. Despite all that, 2K is too much no matter how you figure it.

"In-residence" isn't the same as "on-campus". To many colleges that just means you have to take the course from them, not from someone else.

No problem! But I can't take all the credit; I got them from Colorado State's Dr. Jana Anderson. She also told me that many students of their graduate statistics program have taken courses with those three schools, and have had nothing but good things to say about them.

The Suffolk program looks very innovative. This might be a great option for the mathematically challenged.

Right now my plan is to take a bunch of Math courses from the LSU independent study program. I don't actually need a Math degree, I just need 18 credits to teach middle school math and 24 credits to teach high school math. I'm thinking of going through the "alternative routes to teacher certification" program where I live. It will probably put me close to earning a second Bachelors in which case I may opt to do the Math degree at the University of Illinois-Springfield, which is a degree completion program.

I know it's a bit late to reply, but where do you get $3600?
At the University of Utah the online version of Calculus II is $770 and the print based version version is $760 as of today, 05/04/2009.
