Newbie here, can you please explain what you mean by a 5 week schedule. How many credit would usually equal a class, could you exaplain?
And based on that how soonest can I get a masters degree in case I have about 30 credits of undergrad left to finish as well. TIA.

Generally all of your graduate courses will be on the semester system and they will be 3 credit classes. They are some schools that will have it be 4.5 credits per course.

Taking 2 classes per term at five weeks you could earn a masters degree in about 8 - 10 months. This would be a difficult tasks and could be done, if that was all you worked on.

You might want to take this question out to the rest of the board on a new thread to get a broader depth of answers.

How many such courses can one take simeltaeneously at the same time.Is it possible a student completes an MBA in a lot quicker time should he undergo muliple 5 week courses at different distance learning schools?

I don't have a MBA, but I have discussed this exact question with two MBA program directors and countless MBA graduates. The general feeling is that 2 courses at a time in an 8-week format is about all a working adult can reasonably handle, and even that is a daunting task.

I agree with that 100%. I work roughly 50 hours a week (30 as a CIO for a medical practice and 20 as a computer teacher at a local elementary school). I'm taking Research Methods and Organizational reserarch for this term (8 weeks) and am stressed. I have a 15 page and a 10 page paper looming over me.

I take 10 weeks independent online MBA courses at Aspen. There is no way I would take more than 1 class at a time. I don't think I could handle it.

I've been looking at Salem too, lately, given the accelerated nature of the program. I asked for info yesterday and they E-mailed me right back with a syllabus and the Master's track contents. I'd have attached these to this post but they exceed the forum limits.

I'm somewhat impressed with the syllabus offered (Organizational Behavior) given it seems like the instructor has covered everything. The instructor located some quality free sources of business education data for citations, asked the students to submit polished work, gave the standard lectures against cheating, etc. Some of you who teach classes here may have topped this, but I have to say this is one of the most complete syllabi I've ever seen.

Dang, that rules it out for me. $570 is a deal breaker. Same admission requirement at AMU/APUS for $300 credit with a better reputation.

I took two 8-week classes together and used 8 vacation days so that I could work 4-day weeks during the term. At the end I felt as though I had been used to wax a floor -- while the players were still running back and forth on top of me.
