DSST Principles of Supervision is an easy exam, and can be passed with little or no prep (IMHO). I did look through the passyourclass booklet and took their practice test. IC has flashcards too. Total time of study was about 2 hours and I scored a 62 (46 is passing, and EC gives an A at 51). Nothing to fear on this one. Common sense will get you through most of it.
I agree with thatbrian. All I used for this one was an introductory business textbook, but I just skimmed it. I also flipped through the IC flashcards quickly one time. This is an easy one if you have taken any intro business class. Also, there is a ton of overlap with CLEP Principles of Management, and I recommend taking those two together.
I read the Comex book for the Management CLEP, after which I grabbed a Supervision textbook from my office. It was not a difficult test to study for.
2 passed They passed with a 426 and 436. This was our second business exam and we recommend taking it after CLEP Principles of Management. Here is what we used: Peterson's online exams DSST Principles of Supervision InstantCert (very helpful) Our method for this exam was quick and intense. One of my students said, "Test yourself silly". This test was updated this summer and we took the new version. Pay special attention to the details. Another student said, "They hound you on the details". Another one of those "footnotes" exams. You must know the core material from CLEP Management. Focus on: Leadership Styles Supervisor's Roles Theories of Supervision in practice Make sure you can match theory to theorist, theorist to name, theory to its definition, definition to theory, theory to real life International and Domestic Trade International and Domestic Economics Embargos Tariffs Business Law Unions Lots of employee hiring procedures Human Resource Management Some of the questions were unfamiliar, but with logic and a little background in Team Policy debate or in the business world you may do well.
