I have a technical (industrial) background, and think that Technology Management or Management in Technology would be a perfect fit for me. I can always go back and take some web-design classes later. I'm looking at started an associates in general studies degree at Troy in business - to bang out some of the general education requirements, and work towards the bachelors at the same time. Once I finsh that, I can stay at Troy or transfer to several other colleges I have in mind.

    Anybody hold this degree?

If so, how is it? What type of jobs can a person with this major land?

I don't hold one, but I am working on Telecommunication Management. It is almost the same, most of them require Management course and some business courses. Besides, you have to take technology courses, and the most popular is Information System Management.

I am working toward a M.S. in Information Technology with a concentration in Information Technology Management. The curriculum is a blend of business and technology courses. The degree would prepare one for positions such as IT Manager, Project Manager, Business Analyst and Systems Analyst. CM offers other tracks for Software Engineering Management and Information Security Management.
