I have recently been assigned a new position as VP of finance with my company and although my experience within my field of work, job performance and prior education played a large factor in the decision, my advanced DBA degree from Breyer State University was recognized and accepted by my company and I am pleased to have my hard work and degree recognized within my company. I do hope that this provides an inspiration of hope to those who are seeking a lower cost tuition and are facing challenging opposition to high tuition costs but would like to advance their knowledge, personal and professional growth.

    Dr Blake

Folks on this board have explained on multiple occasions to you regarding the Breyer State degree, your employer certainly can accept any credentials it chooses, however don't be surprised if more informed individuals consider the source and choose not to recognize your "DBA". I only have to wonder at the ethics requirements to become a VP of finance. I am assuming you made full disclosure to your employer?

From the Breyer State web site
    From the same web site:
    "Doctorate Degree
    $3,500.00"

I wonder how the shareholders of the company you work for would feel if the knew that his VP is running the finance department with a degree that cost 3500 and was earned by using prior learning.

I wouldn't really advertise this on a public website if you are for real.

I second to that. Also, Dr. Blake should be simply BLAKE.

Believe or not, there are quite a few Breyer State alumni that are successful in business:

"Dr." Christian Mehlich, is another proud holder of a PhD from BS

    http://www.xing.com/app/profile?op=profile_details;name=Christian_Mehlich

Another distinguish BS graduate is MICHAEL TOWNSEND that is a professor at Kaplan University

    http://kucampus.kaplan.edu/DocumentStore/kuDocs/pdf/ku_catalog_061004.pdf

He seems to teach his secrets to success to other BS students as he is a full professor at BS himself
    http://www.breyerstate.com/resume-micheal-townsend.htm

I wonder the feelings of Kaplan's students that are paying thousands of dollars to get their degrees when some of their professors just paid $3500 for a PhD based on prior learning.

It looks like BS offers very cost effective degrees that can lead to a world of opportunities as Finance VP, University professor, Managing director among others.

Oh boy...I sure hope this post isn't for real. If it is, you're risking a ticking time bomb that could explode on you once your company finds out your degree isn't accredited and is considered a substandard school by many in academic circles. Some have even called it a mill. I don't know that it is. It could cost you your job, cause you embarrassment and damage any credibility you may have had in your profession.

Perhaps you weren't promoted based on your "doctorate". If you were, you may consider working on an accredited degree to bolster your credentials.

When your doctoral degree gets this kind of public respect and recognition, all kinds of possibilities open up:

Wow, this could be a major time bomb. Look at where all he claims to be employed:

These are all regionally-accredited institutions. Granted, he claims to have a regionally-accredited masters degree, but it still speaks to his integrity that he claims the Breyer State degree.

It's especially questionable given that he claims to have gone most of the way through a PhD program at Capella before "transferring" to Breyer State:

Wow, what is more incredible is that he managed to finish the PhD at BS only 4 months after this "transfer".

I guess that his education at BS has really payed off as he was able to land all these adjunct positions with a 4 moth doctorate. I wonder if his position at Kaplan is full time and if the doctorate was required for this position.

My employer is fully aware of the school's lack of US dept of education or CHEA recognized accreditation and that was fully disclosed being that my company offered up to $3K assistance annually for approved coursework. I did however have to provide coursework verification to them as well.

My prior education is RA as I attended a state university in Montgomery.

I must state that I do enjoy being called Dr. at the office and those around me also enjoy and recognize my accomplishment.

I believe those interested in higher education should do what is best for them and this has met my current and future needs and I am happy to have accomplished this degree. It was far less expensive than NCU, which I had been enrolled in at one point and withdrew due to cost.

I am sure a Professional Degree at Columbia University is 10 times harder than Breyer State's Ph.D.

Well, it is funny that he completed all his credits from an RA accredit edschool to an unaccredited school?

BTW, he put his experience being a cashier into his teaching credential profile?
