    Hi Jennifer,

I think I was one of those "flame throwers" last year. ;) I don't think I had my first cup of Joe that morning and I was like "flame on"! Sorry 'bout that.

Anyway, I really don't see the point in having a gazillion separate degrees in one subject (or extremely similiar subjects), especially given that Guiness eliminated this category from the record books! I suppose he could choose worse hobbies...

He seems to be collecting a lot of his degrees from Eastern Michigan University, Indiana University South Bend, and Western Michigan University, which don't seem all that competitive  (though he does have one master's degree from Michigan State University, which is competitive).

Or maybe he just has very good tuition benefits from his employer. :D

Should I attribute any significance to the fact that your post comes immediately after mine?

And I, having two master's degrees, have been accused of having too many master's degrees and, indeed, have been accused of being redundant because two MBAs is the same degree twice (never mind the two different tracks).

tmartca: Should I take it from your sig line that Bellevue University's PhD in Human Capital Management is up and running?

Yes, I completed my application a couple of weeks ago, and hope to hear about a decision in the next couple of weeks.

Exactly how many graduate degrees are you allowed before you get an official DSM-IV diagnosis of Toomanydegreeism?

There's another double MBA on this thread who once said, "Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it!" This double MBA concurs.

    To tmartca

Looking at your sig line brings up a question: why would you feel the need to complete an EdD and a PhD? Just curious...

    Because I wanted to.

He's the senior distinguished membornator. He can do whatever he wants!

I wonder how much time was spent planning the most efficient way to get these degrees as opposed to actually working on them. I've spent about as much time researching as actually working on my degree path.

Somehow that name reminds me of our esteemed "Governator" here in California.

*chuckles at Oliver* It's sad. He doesn't like the name.

EDIT: The *distinguished* membernator, I don't know about the governator.

This is one of the best responses I have seen in a while. Why drag details into it! ;)

Ted continues to be one of my heros!
