I was recently in search of the best online MBA and ran across this program:

IE (Instituto de Impresa) in Madrid has a Global MBA Online in English.

IE has been ranked by Financial Times as 8th in the world, among the likes of Harvard and MIT.

It has partnerships with Northwestern, U of Chicago, and Babson.

    Length: 16 months
    Residencies: 2 x 5 days
Cost: approx $36,100 Euro ($56,000 US)

$56,000 seems like a lot, but then again, most EMBAs from top schools are over $100,000.

This is a good list....but why are Manchester and Warwick ranked higher than Imperial?

I'm assuming that it is because the Full Time MBA at Manchester and Warwick are ranked higher than Imperial by Financial Times (PDF), which appears to be the basis of the Top 10 Online MBA Ranking.

If Warwick's really that highly regarded, its $30,000 tuition is a tremendous bargain.

A lot easier on the wallet than the similarly ranked Duke program.

It's joked that many of Imperial MBA graduates went into starting new ventures and thus got poor performance in terms of the "Salary" criteria in the ranking :)

It's true that many of the Imperial MBA graduates want to start their companies. But I am not sure how this affect the ranking. I suppose this is very hard to rank.

BTW, Babson doesn't rank high too, not sure if they have the same reason. :)

    Application fee 120 Euros yikes.

And they recommend the admission interview be conducted in person because it is an "integral part" of the admissions process. That's another $2,000 on travel before even being accepted.

It would be nice if they listed some more information on what type of candidates they would be likely to admit.

Under the structure tab it says:

11:00 a.m. Madrid time is quite early in the U.S. (5:00 a.m. on the east coast, 2:00 a.m. on the west coast).
