Jim, you did this about 16 years prior to me in your military career - I guess it's true about intelligence evolving ;) ;) .

Congrats, and take some time off with your family before plowing into the next level......folks mean well when they urge you to enroll for the very next semester in Grad School, but a little distance gives you a lot of perspective before taking the leap. I'm proud of (and for) you!

You might be able to obtain a letter from Excelsior stating that you've met the graduation requirements, with the degree to be awarded in May. (They did that routinely when they held 2 commencements per year--they sent the letter to everyone who'd completed the degree requirements right away, with diplomas following commencement.)

Such a letter will almost certainly weight with the master's admissions folks.

Finally, if you've indeed completed all the requirements, you can list the degree on your resume. If you receive a job offer before your graduation date, and that employer wants transcripts, you show the letter.

    Congratulations!

originalbigjim how is your program at Mountain State? Are the classes good and how much time do they take?

    Thanks!

  14. they are great, I am really learning a lot and it is not as intense as I initially thought. The classes are 5 weeks and you only do 1 at a time. There is a ton of reading to do and the only thing i dont like is that we have weekly chats at a certain time, I do enjoy the chats but sometimes my schedule is a little tricky and getting to the chat can prove to be difficult at times.
