Oh, that's interesting. What if the state's House delegation is evenly divided?

    Ted is right

I remember hearing this discussed on (Fox?) News a while back. I think it would be a very narrow Dem win.

Now, if the House could not make a decision, things would get interesting. The Senate would still pick a VP. Presumably, s/he would serve as president until/if things were resolved in the House.

Either way, I guess the result could be a Democratic President and a Republican VP (or vice versa).

Which isn't unprecedented in the United States.

If you thought the bickering in DC is bad now a Democrat Pres / Republican VP...Geez...tell me when it's over...

I'm supporting Ron Paul...who is not being mentioned in most polls...I think he has a niche market group who could turn out in big numbers to vote for him...could be a major upset...I could be wrong though...

Given no other choices, I'd be more inclined to vote for the crazy midget than Hillary Clinton. :p

Didn't she channel Eleanor Roosevelt's ghost one time?

(And didn't Nancy Reagan have her astrologer?)

Actually, the Hillary Clinton/Eleanor Roosevelt thing has a DL connection. Jean Houston, Hillary's friend and spiritual advisor, boasts a DL doctorate from the Union Institute.

Beneath the buttoned-up image that she presents to the public, a very different Hillary stirs. And paradoxically, given the influence that evangelical Protestantism has on this year's election process, I find Hillary's heresies strangely reassuring, even as I simultaneusly find her credulity troubling. She's no Bible-fundie, that's for sure. Hillary's firmly planted in the New Age.

Here's the endless list of colorful books that Jean Houston has at least co-authored, including the classic 'The Varieties of Psychedelic Experience', 'Limitless Mind: A Guide to Remote Viewing and Transformation of Consciousness', 'Riding into Your Mythic Life: Transformational Adventures with the Horse', 'Chaos, Creativity, and Cosmic Consciousness', an edition of 'The Science of Mind' by Ernest Holmes, and many more.

Yeah, you're right...now that you mention it I do remember hearing about that. Still, new age philosophies are a far cry from UFO sightings. :D

    Interesting!

She has made statements claiming to be a "Life-long Methodist" all the while, as you state, she is firmly planted in new age philosophies. I am trying, but I can't find any reassurance in that regardless of what the others are peddling. There are so many things that bother me about her. Personally, I think that any self-respecting woman would have divorced that repeat-cheater husband of hers long ago. Her "experience" argument rides on her husband's coat tail as well. Come on, if you are going to be a "power frau" then be one already and drop the church-going wife and mommy homemaker charade. I think if she had kicked Bill to the curb, ran on her own platform and record she would be far more believable as an agent of change. Don't you think?

Well, since her "experience" argument rides on her having been the second in the two for price of one deal that was hubby's presidency, she cannot afford to divorce the b@$t@rd until after the election, then maybe she can run with some real experience in 2012.

For the same reason the media tries to ignore Ron Paul; they make too much sense, are honest, and don't flip-flop on issues.

I would love to see a Paul-Kucinich or Kucinich-Paul team in the White House; regardless of their "party" affiliation. In fact, Canada and the European Union would love to see this too.

It would be fascinating to see Canada and the EU trying to make sense of a Ron Paul administration.

Which is reason enough alone to not vote for either one of them.

Well, Canada and the European Union do not get to vote for the President of the United States. :D

How would a Ron Paul administration sit with the people of Dominica?

"My fellow Americans, I am sick and tired of not being president," said Clinton, introducing his wife at a "Hillary '08" rally. "For seven agonizing years, I have sat idly by as others experienced the joys of campaigning, debating, and interacting with the people of this great nation, and I simply cannot take it anymore. I have to be president again. I have to."

    Wisconsin Primary

As a "Wisconsinite" and a conservative - I cast my vote in the Democratic Primary for Barack Obama today. Although I will reluctantly cast a ballot for McCain in the General Election, I want to keep Hillary Clinton as far away from the White House as possible - thus my vote for Obama was, in fact, a vote AGAINST Clinton.
