    Hi all,

As I get geared up to resume my Ph.D. studies, I thought I'd revisit the arena of bibliographic software, to see what advances/new products are out there. I see Endnote has a new version, as well as what I used to use, Biblioscape. I also see that there are now some open-source, and/or web-based solutions as well.

So, I thought I'd pick y'all's brains . . . what, if any, software, are you currently using for your bibliographic requirements? What advantages/disadvantages are you finding with your particular software? Any and all comments appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Adrienne

While I have no experience with all the software packages you mentioned, I find Endnote to be fantastic. It has a database that can be crossed with others that saves you a lot of time typing, making impossible double quoting. It has literally hundreds of different citation styles, including the the most common ones like APA or MLA. Everything can be donewith just a click saving you lots of hours in editing. Without having used the others, I would recommend everyone this software (although I am afraid that probably they are all very similar). Regards.

Endnote for me as well. I big plus for EndNote is the FireFox extension that allows you to save references from Firefox to Endnote.

Its the best product out there IMO.

Cool, I use Endnote, but I didn't know about the extension. I've been having a ton of trouble getting Endnote to connect to the Florida SUS. Maybe this will help.
