Hi I have received my unofficial evaluation and this is what I need to complete the BA, Foreign Language option at TESC. - 3 Credits History of Civilization - 6 credits of language skills through advance level. - 6 credits of Major Writers or Masterpieces of Literature - 8 Foreign Language electives. TESC does not offer History of civilization and Major Writers courses. What are some alternatives to finished these courses? Can I complete these courses by Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) or by examination? I know the enrollment fee at TESC is $2193, so cost is a factor. Thanks
TESC does have History of Western Civ and a couple of Lit classes that might fit: a couple on Jane Austen and Literary Roots of Western Civilization.
Sorry, I did not mention that my area of study is in Spanish. History of Civilization and 6 credits of Major Writers must be related to my area of study.
I don't know if this will help, but University of Arkansas has an independent study course titled Latin American Civilization. It can be found at the following link: http://www.uacted.uark.edu/CreditStudies/disted/catalogquery_all_college.asp The major writers course I haven't found yet. I'll post if I find something.
UF offers Intermediate Spanish and an intro to Latin American history class online. http://www.correspondencestudy.ufl.edu/default.aspx
