Most Medical Billing and codin g courses are nationally accredited. I wish to enroll in a RA institute. Also are there top-tier universities that offer the course through online? I am not able to find anything more than a Chubb institute and Anthem institute and both of them are nationally accredited. Not regional accreditation. Can someone help...
By the way I have dropped looking for the Phd in English post the Mphil as they were not related to my current occupation and I would take a lot of years to complete. The other alternative is to obtain a respectable US based degree in Medical Billing and coding that I have over 6 years of experience.
Vinod, To be honest, medical billing and coding is seen as low tier work in the U.S. The closest you'll probably get is Health Service Administration. Try looking for programs with that name. -=Steve=-
I believe San Juan College has a medical coding program online. The URL is www.sanjuancollege.edu but I get a "cannot find server" message when I try it. I remember that their tuition was very low and they are RA.
UF has had medical coding courses online in the past. This course might be the one you are interested in http://www.distancelearning.ufl.edu/course.aspx?s=1844 Also, they have a certificate program in Healthcare Risk Management you might be interested in: http://www.distancelearning.ufl.edu/program.aspx?p=53
I just enrolled in the last class for the certificate program in Healthcare Risk Management at UF. It is a great program but a bit more difficult than I expected.
RA Medical and Coding..YES! at WOLI! In January 2007, Washington Online Learning Institute (WOLI) will be unveiling an extensive program in medical office assistantship, including several courses in billing and coding. WOLI is regionally accredited, and this program has been approved by the accreditors. Good luck....I hope I answered your questions.
