    Hello all,

I am considering enrolling in the MBA program at Liberty University and wanted to see if there were any folks here who that are enrolled in this program? I am particularly interested in how the cohort system works and the quality of instruction?
Also, do they try to indoctrinate DL learners with the founder's conservative right wing dogma?

I completed an MBA through Liberty. I found it to be a very quality program. Also, the students were very motivated. Many of them were pursuing their degree while serving in the military. Liberty is evangelical and conservative, although, politics and religion seldom came up in the courses.

They have required courses in religion/theology at the BA level, but you're going to find little or none of it at the graduate level unles syou are enrolled in the MA Religion program.

  4. a friend of mine went there for his BA, he said almost every class asked him to relate things to Christianity, if you in to that then this is the school for you, as far as an MBA there i dont know.

My husband is currently in the program, and he finds it both challenging and rewarding.

If you're concerned about being indoctrinated with the founder's "conservative right-wing dogma," then why on earth would you apply to a conservative Christian college? There are plenty of other MBA programs to consider.

To echo the previous post, many assignments are related to Christianity in some way, but I could think of worse things than studying to be a "moral" businessman...

I've taken three MBA courses at Liberty. One asked me to relate each assignment to Christianity. Two did not.

I have my own beliefs and no one's dogma or diatribes are going to change them, but still I am intrigued by this program. I see where their courses are 8 weeks long. Has anyone of you successfully juggled 2 courses per 8 week term in addition to working full time? I have 12 transfer credits and would like to complete an MBA program sometime within the next year.

Yes, I've taken two courses at once while working. In all the classes I've taken, the program has emphasized demonstrating knowledge in fewer assignments as opposed to an overload of busy work.

I understand. Their low cost, low residency EdD would be interesting to me were they not evangelical.

I have also taken two coursers in one session while working. I would not recommend taking more than one course in a session when taking Global Economic Environment or any course with Dr. George as the instructor.

I am considering transferring from Amberton to Liberty. Can anyone share their experiences with the M.S. in Management program? What were your thoughts on the course materials? What was the percentage of group work versus individual assignments in any given course? Thanks.

Sorry I know this doesn't answer your question. It's a more of a FYI for anyone interested. It's not updated on their website yet but the Ed.S program at Liberty no longer requires any residencies and the GRE has been waived also no teaching experience needed. However, teaching and residencies is required for the Ed.D program.
