University of Atlanta's tuition!!!!

It is funny that University of Atlanta compares their tuition to other national & regional accredited institution. Is that possible? University of Atlanta is initially accredited by DETC.

U of A is NOT accredited by DETC. U of A has submitted an application for accreditation to DETC, but that is not initial accreditation.

I have read in another post that University of Atlanta is Barrington under another name.

 

It is Barrington, under new ownership & a new name. I will say they appear to be serious about accreditation, they're advertising for faculty on the Chronicle website, and they're only interested in people with RA doctorates.

Well, I just used DETC's terminology; they don't have Candidate Status only "Initial Accreditation" which is on evaluation status. This process takes 6 months to 1 year to complete; of course, they are not accredited yet.

No, they do not have "initial accreditation"; all they have is "accreditation applicant" status.

Thanks for making that clear. For anyone who did not know, the original post seems to indicate that U of A has accreditation, when in fact it has none.

I have nothing against the school, and if they are now offering quality programs that meet DETC criteria, then I wish U of A well. But until then, one needs to be wary due to the Barrington baggage.

Should it be University of Mobile. Maybe it's just a mobile university

 

There already exists a University of Mobile www.umobile.edu , so apparently they had to pillage some other name. But it does seem to be a bit geographically illiterate.

 

You can fly with Delta Connection to attend your graduation; all you have to do just book your reservation at www.delta.com. It is a direct flight from Atlanta to Mobile.

After much thought I have figured it out!!!!

University of Atlanta "In Mobile, Alabama?" is forward thinking!!!

With the constant growth of Atlanta it has been determined by 2020 the I-20 corridor and I-85 corridor will merge into the three neighboring states. A resolution will be drafted thus creating a mega state with 4 districts. They will be known as

Atlanta
Atlantalina
Atlantanooga
and Atlantabama.

With this, naming Barrington, I mean University of Atlanta in Mobile will be ok.

With their overall thought process showing full vision in regard to forward thinking, progressive thought, they will be RA in no time!!!!

 

Well, at that time for those who received the Bachelor degree from Barrington University can say, "woohoo!!! my degree was issued from regional accredited body; therefore, next step is Master degree from Harvard University."
