Does anyone on this forum have information about Louisiana Baptist University? I know that the school is approved by the BBFI( Bible Baptist Fellowship International). Also, the AACC- American Association of Christina Counselors approves it. Any help that you can give is greatly appreciated. Grad95
After looking at their site they are not RA or NA so you may want to beware. Their tuition prices are reasonable however. Rich
They seem to be mainly a religious school however and do offer a curriculum in only a few fields, they seem to have some legitimate interest in Christian Education and Ministry. But there are likely accredited schools that are RA and NA approved you should look for those as well.
LBU is pretty open about its views on accreditation: While I think that LBU is mistaken to imply that accrediting agencies are necessarily secular (ABHE, ATS, and TRACS come to mind), I give them credit for their forthrightness concerning their position. Regardless, unless there's a unique reason for considering LBU (e.g., you plan to seek ordination in a Baptist Bible Fellowship International church and they recommend LBU), I would stick with an accredited school.
