I hope the group can help me out with a question?

Did enrollment in your distance learning program require that you provide a photo ID?

Thanks in advance for any comments.

In my case enrollment did not require a photo ID as far as I remember, though I don’t recall my previous B&M school asking for one either. The various proctored exams I’ve taken have all required a photo ID though.

I did not require photo ID either, but did for proctored tests.

That's an interesting question. Neither Charter Oak nor GW required one from me. Maybe they should have?

EBS did, along with a letter from someone claiming to know me. (not sure how useful that was however, since that could have been forged easily.)

University of London - photo ID required for exams only.

University of Northumbria - Copy of passport size photo required with registration, but not photo ID as such. They did use my photo to send me a library card, which is nice (if not particularly useful).

Coastal Carolina University now puts student ID photos on the class roster for all classes.

Seems there may have been a problem with ringers in the recent past.

I've never had to present an ID of any sort to register for a DL class (and I've taken more than a few) but always have 2 photo IDs when going to take an exam.

I took an ECE and they required photo ID and then took a picture of me too. I kept expecting them to pull out the portable fingerprinting kit any time.

EBS also required a copy of a photo ID along with two passport-style photographs. They used the ID and the photographs at the exam site to confirm who I was. Later on, they scanned the photographs, so I no longer had to provide a set for each exam.
