Because it will get me a quick promotion and a fat raise, I am completing my B.S. (liberal arts degree) from Excelsior first. This is the fastest and cheapest way. I was wondering if anyone knew if Excelsior would let you get an Associates in Nursing AFTER they had issued a Bachelors in liberal arts. My thinking is they might, because it is two different degrees in two different disciplines. Thanks, PJ
FYI-I called Excelsior admissions this a.m. and they said it would be acceptable, but unorthodox, to do it this way. I realize I am replying to myself, I just hope that I don't start talking to myself as well
Yes, I would have to pay another enrollment fee for the A.D.N. , plus all the exam and clinical fees, and the graduation fee, (plus the annual fee if I did not get finished in a year's time).
No reason why you can't go this route. I worked with a RN who already had a BA from one school, but then decided to get her ADN since it worked out to be a faster method for her to becoming a RN. You can always go back to school later to earn higher degrees if you care to. Good luck!
ADNs not in California? I thought about that for my sister some years ago; but Excelsior ADN are not acceptable in California.
