    Dear all

I was just wondering if anyone has had any experiences with the Southeast Asian Interdisciplinary Institue (SAIDI) just outside of Metro Manila in the Philippines. The quality of education the PI is excellent and I think this may be a more feasible alternative for anyone who is interested in an affordable Ph.D in Organization Development. See www.saidi.edu.ph and let me know what you think.

Interesting. Bears' Guide, 14th edition (2001) and Bears' Guide, 15th edition (2003) both duly noted that, as of 2000, the SAIDI phone number of record was disconnected and they were not locatable on the Internet. Thanks for finding them.

Southeast Asia Interdisciplinary Development Institute, School of OD

I recently had the opportunity to meet with SAIDI's Dean and have spoken with a few graduates. I am very pleased with what I have heard about the school and can confirm that SAIDI is well respected in the field of OD. Some of the program's graduates and mentors are faculty at leading institutions, such as the AACSB-accredited Asian Institute of Management.

The Ph.D. in Organization Development is a research based program that requires students to be in a decision making position in their organizations. Students are required to apply their newly acquired knowledge in the workplace and report back on the results. Tuition and fees for the entire program is below $5,000 so it is quite affordable. There is a number of experienced OD practitioners who act as mentors throughout the program.

Here is the updated contact information for the Southeast Asia Interdisciplinary Development Institute, School of Organization Development:

    Website: www.saidi.edu.ph
Address: Saidi Formation Center, Taktak Drive, 1870 Antipolo City, Philippines
    Telephone: +63 2 658 9302
    E-mail: [email protected]

I plan on enrolling very soon so if anyone else is interested in pursuing doctoral studies in Organization Development, let me know... it would be great to go through the program together!

    Hi Anthony,

I'm interested on the PhD in Org Dev at SAIDI. Would you please elaborate more about the program? Is there any residential requirement? How much is less than USD5000? Is it payable in one go or is there any installment program?

I'm currently finishing my MBA with AJU, however, since I already have a master degree, I can use it right away w/o waiting for the MBA to be completed.

I live in Jakarta, Indonesia. It is only 4 hours flight from here to Manila, not that much hassle actually.

I was waiting for AJU to launch their DBA program but Tammy (The Director of Admission) said that the DBA won't be coming earlier than end of next year. I think I'd better find some alternatives.

    Cheers!
