That link also states: "At the other end of the spectrum are On-line MBA programs, which allow students to earn accreditation without ever stepping foot in a classroom. These programs are perhaps less respected than their traditional counterparts."

Comments on other threads have made the point that the organizations recruiting and hiring MBA's at six-figure salaries are not recruiting and hiring on-line MBA's.

    Spoken like a true auditor.

The stats I provided were off the top of my head. But a quick search found the following:

Check out Table 5e (page 4) in the following document.

    http://www.aacsb.edu/knowledgeservices/home/SS-04ExecutiveSummary.pdf

Please note that these are last year's numbers. There is anecdotal evidence that the numbers are up this year.

Note that the salaries for new business doctorates (Table 5e.) is higher than the salaries for all Assistant Professors (Table 5c). There's some real interesting stuff going on in terms of salary compression where brand new faculty (or new to the institution) are being paid more than experienced faculty.

I do not believe there are many programs out there (if any) that are online and have an active recruiting effort aimed at them. Salaries for online MBA grads would likely be measured in terms of a promotion to another position rather than a starting salary as in the case of a career change, etc.

There was a thread in the off-topic area I started a while ago.

I can't speak about the rest of the US, but I don't see that much demand for DBAs. In a little experiment I did using HotJobs, I posted several versions of my resume. The ones that produced the most hits/views, and contacts were those that did not mention my DBA.

Before anyone jumps in that the experiment was flawed, I know it was not done in a controlled way. Also, it shows nothing more than a potential for a study. So, it wasn't scienterrific at all.

That said, a couple people mentioned having their docotrates (PhD) did help them in the salary area. Not sure how marketable it would be if they needed to change companies.

As I've mentioned in the past, an MBA is a marginal revenue/marginal cost decision, but a DBA (or other doctorate) is mainly a marginal utility decision. I have not had a client work with me because I have a doctorate. In a client's decision process, it may or may not affect their decison, and it may positively or negatively affect the decision.
