Hello... Question to ask all of you, especially those in the fields of Ph.D.'s and those who have been/are at Walden University. These are my classes that are left: PSYC 6245 Social Psychology PSYC 6331 Interviewing and Observational Strategies 3 months time PSYC 6341 Psychological Assessment: Cognitive PSYC 6351 Psychological Assessment: Personality and Social-Emotional 3 months time PSYC 8722 Theories of Psychotherapy PSYC 8741 Psychopharmacology 3 months time Should be done with coursework by or before the end of 2006. After that, all that is left is Practicum, Internship and Dissertation...what does everyone think? Clyde
If you've gotten this far then there's no question about your ability to do the coursework. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say it's easy. It's just clear that you're a good student. What have you got in mind for your internship? Dissertation topic? You're doing great, keep it going. Jack
I actually have been contacted about Larned Hospital in Kansas for my Internship, and I have thought about the combination of serial killers and obsessive-compulsive disorders for my dissertation... Thats probably my biggest worry...for my masters, it was a corny dissertation, but it worked (although it seemed to take me forever). It was on real violence by those who watched professional wrestling on television and its effects. I just do not want to go too far overboard on my dissertation, yet at the same time, I dont want to be one sitting there at the last second, going..."Ummm, what do I write about?"
