Landsfield is defenitly a less than wonderful, and lists a non-recocnized accreditor. They also have a hidden registration.

The next school also is less than wonderful, lists a fak accreditor, talks about appositile and is registered to Doug Bond of Georgia.

They also list The Association for Online Distance Learning. Which is a new group to me. Their registration information points to you guessed it Doug Bond Enterprises.... so interesting...

    Blog?

This is the first ooatbag school I've ever seen with its own blog. It's really nice of Chase to provide such detailed information about the look of its diploma. Gives one such a lovely sense of what one is "working" toward.

The diploma is ugly as a dog's vomit. Even my own dog wouldn't want to eat it :p

Chase University? Please tell me that it is not in Manhattan and it has nothing to do with Chevys.

Chase University sure seems a lot like Chase University (Georgia) (described in Bears' Guide, 15th edition, page 310) which appeared online in 2002, stated its location as Athens, Georgia, and is "accredited" by the unrecognized Association for Online Distance Learning, which the Bears were unable to locate outside Chase's website.

Landsfield University claims to be "accredited" by the International Association of Online Educators, but their website does not name which universities they "accredit." Nor is it certain what sort of "recognition" IAOE has.

    Here's university owner Doug Bond:

    http://www.bondwebcreations.com/dougbond/education.html

    He says:

My formal education (in other words, my schooling) was somewhat erratic due to the fact that I was playing in bands, modeling and quite simply wasn't sure what I really wanted to do with my life...

I completed 2 years of undergraduate study at GA Tech in Mechanical Engineering, 2 years of undergraduate study at Kennesaw State University in Art, and finished my degree at Athens Technical College with a degree in Computer Programming. _During all of this time I was working or playing in bands/acting/modeling, so obviously I wasn't very focused. _Oh well, call it ADHD I guess!!

Athens Tech is a Georgia community college that awards associate degrees.

He has a friend named Alice Herndon who calls herself Chase's 'registrar' and who has been promoting Chase on various discussion boards:

    http://www.meetup.com/boards/view/viewthread?thread=6663&pager.offset=320

As she tells it, Doug is suddenly a Ph.D. That's a good thing, since his university awards 48 hour life-experience doctorates in just about everything.

I wonder if Chase University is operating legally in Georgia. It doesn't seem to be doing the religious exemption thing, and I doubt if Georgia would license something like this.

A few days ago, before posting my thread, i informed
ODA about these two new fake universities.

In some place i found someone who was interested in Chase University because "it is not listed in the ODA unaccredited list".

Now, they're listed as degree mills.

Hey, I have a mortgage through Chase, I wonder if I could get a degree through them also by making an extra payment? Joking of course. But it does make one wonder about how they come up with the names and if the other Corporations by the same name would sue for defamation/infringement? I guess not.
