No more BS please…

I was not sure whether this thread should be started in the off-topic section of DegreeInfo or here. However, since most of the controversies I am about to address took place in the Accredited vs. State-Approved vs. Unaccredited I decided to start it here. I leave it to the Forum’s respective moderators whether this thread should stay here or be moved elsewhere in DegreeInfo.

Be that as it may, I am going to say my peace. First, I have seen many unwarranted attacks take place recently against one of the most prominent posters of DegreeInfo. The irony is that those attacks are not taking place at the MilitaryForum Thing, AED for people with AHDD, or Jamesville, but right here under our noses at DegreeInfo. Second, that I seen the vicious attacks at the other forums against UJ, Gregg, Dr. John Bear, Jack Tracey, and many others. They endure those attacks with class, dignity, and the patience of Gandhi.

However, to say that any of them should have to endure similar attacks here at our sanctuary of high educational standards is absurd. I don’t think it is fair what is happening with Uncle Janko. He has endured so much unfair criticism elsewhere that I really can not imagine how he stands it. Now he has to put up with it here? I say no, and I further say that something must be done as soon as possible.

UJ is a corner stone of DegreeInfo. This site would be severely crippled without his active participation. Is it easy to get along with Uncle Janko? Sure, as long as your arguments have some degree of common sense behind them. So I calmly and politely asking our Super Moderators to do everything – and I mean everything – in your power to make the situation stop.

God Bless DegreeInfo, Uncle Janko, all it’s members and May he/she grant the wisdom to our Super Moderators to appropriately deal with the task at hand.

Thanks, MiguelStefan, for the above. I admire, respect, honor, and treasure - and always will - Uncle J's enormous wit, compassion, and contributions to this forum.

However, the inane assalto/asalto/assault (at least, as I perceive it) on UJ (and others) is not from several persons here at DI, not even from some, as far as I can tell - and I hope that I am not half-way blind - but from only one disgruntled, intentionally confusing and misleading individual.

This individual, I have decided, is worth my while to completely and irreversibly ignore, permanently, well, that is, until things change - or hell freezes over - whichever comes first.

Ok, I will revise that: Some time ago, our own BillDayson posted something that has informed me ever since: Do not bear a grudge. Relax and let it go. So, I might reverse my permanent "ignorization", if conditions call for it. Definitely so.

The business of DI is way too important and continues unabated, for me, as soon as I had made that one decision. May not be the right decision for all or even some, but it is for me.

I will keep coming back if only so I can read and use the most meticulously researched and presented nuggets of gold occasionally dished to us by the likes of CalDog, Dr. Bear, Dr. Douglass, Marylars, Marilynd, Gregg and others too many to mention.

Relax, everyone. DI's reputation and integrity remains solid. How do I know? I deal with many students who tell me this on an almost daily basis. So .....

Wile some of UJ posts are what you say the others about me are completly false 100%.

Based on this and because there is no smoke without fire I hope your eyes will be opened and you will realized that UJ is capable of making mistakes and misjudgements.

Even though I have been blind to the specific post(s) in question, one thing is for sure, an attack on UJ is an attack on me.

Who ever is writing nonesense about UJ...........CUT THE immature behavior, occupy your time on productive things and apologize to UJ and help keep this board --------> "FILTH FREE."

This board is a service to people around the world and UJ contributes to it.

And obviously anyone who supports blindly that kind of behaviour sends the wrong message to the people around the world.

As stated before maybe the UJ is very big con trebutor to this forum and he earned the untouchable status and license to insult other less popular and important posters in the forum.

Although the attacks began with one user, I have counted at least four users openly attacking UJ on different threads of DI. This to me it is cause for concern.

Yes, but for how long? How many Trolls does it take for a board to lose its credibility? One, Two, Three, Twenty Etc??? I have counted at least five suspicious active posers - I know it is posters, but there is pun intended – on this board. There is a time for everything. This is the time for vigilance. DI must be sterilized from trolls before it’s too late.

I choose not to directly address your responses to this thread as it has nothing to do with you beyond the point that you started the controversy with Janko. However, understand that because of what you started we now have a few posters openly and constantly attacking UJ, some of whom are new to the forum, which makes them extremely suspect.

So take your chill pills and show some class for Pete’s sake. No body has called you out by name. But you have chosen to continue attacking UJ in this thread. Can you not see that he gave you positive advice on taking Hebrew, Greek, or whatever classes from an unaccredited school? That he has not engaged in name calling or personal attacks towards you in a while. You guys even had a couple of disagreements without resorting to personal attacks. Continue to clean up your act and for Pete’s sake quit being so hyper sensitive.

Lerner, stop attacking Janko on religious grounds; accusing him of being un-Christian or un-Godly or anything else of that sort. Or Jimmy... or anyone else for that matter. Janko is an ordained pastor in one of the biggest, most impressive of the Lutheran denominational groups; and his criticism of you has nothing whatsoever to do with his profession. Men of God -- Chritians to the core -- can be very critical of someone or something without being un-Godly or un-Christian. Sometimes to not call a thing what it is is what's un-Christian... else Jesus would never have thrown the money-changers out of the temple.

I'd like the feud, generally, to stop; but I demand (and will enforce if ignored) that the religious criticism stop. Now.

Beyond that, in this new year, I'm not the only moderator who had grown weary of all this crap. It must now stop, too.

Everybody chill. Go find new and interesting things to talk about. Have you all noticed that because you're so focused on all this kinda' stuff you're not making the really helpful posts in other threads that you used to? I mean, that's our greatest role here: Helping newbies and others get their questions -- to which we may know the answers -- answered. Right? Or maybe asking questions regarding things we don't know about?

C'mon... enough, already. It's a new year. Let's all get happy and enthusiastic about being helpful. If someone who has posted in this thread is actually a troll, that will be clear soon enough. I had been looking at at least one person who's posted in this thread, and his overall activities here, in a certain way which, last weekend, I suddenly realized I had been looking at all wrong. I've now figured him out... and I can tell that he knows I have. I suspect, therefore, his trolling will cease... and if it doesn't he'll be banned. And I think he knows that, too.

Let's all now move on and see what happens. Be happy. Be helpful. Don't try and slip-in anything via the back door; or try to fly just under the radar... because there's new radar, now. I finally get it. Game's over.
