I attended DeVry in NJ (1986-87) and the education was great. They did not nickel and dime me but is was expensive. I know someone that attended the Atlanta campus and graduated with a BS. I think she said it cost 40K. She got a job easily making 50K to start because she said the school was well respected.

Could there be a difference from online to campus or even campus to campus?

I attended DeVry in Phoenix from 95 until 98. Received my BS in Computer Information Systems. Like any school, pros and cons.

    Cons: Expensive.

Pros: Good "hands on" learning. Every programming class I took had an associated lab (usually 3 credit class, 1 credit lab). Learned about programming in the class, actually did programming in the lab.

I don't know about UoP now, but back then, their CIS program did not compare to DeVry's. As I said, DeVry was very hands on, writing lots of code. I knew someone who was going to UoP back then for CIS, and it was the opposite: lots of book work, very little hands on programming.

I've never had anyone question my degree, and I make a good IT salary for the Phoenix area (almost $80,000).
