I have a friend who has a master's degree (education) and 15 graduate hours in math. She needs 18 graduate hours in math to teach at the local community college. Does anyone know of any online/distance ed. schools that might offer a 3-credit hour class at the graduate level in mathematics that she might take?

    Thanks.

Hi - Texas A&M offers an MS in Mathematics, 100% online. It looks like they will allow someone to take an individual graduate level math course, but your friend would need to take until the summer semester.

Thanks for your reply. She's looked at the courses listed there, and seems to be intimidated by them (not sure why, exactly). I guess she also doesn't see the particular kinds of courses she needs there.

Apparently distance ed. math is hard to come by.

Would Statistics be okay? I know that Kansas State offers a few graduate level stats courses online. Under $1000/course too, I think.

Just look at the distance ed course schedule through Continuing Ed.
