Uhhh - we can all dream, can't we?

This seems to be the main issue. The world is a dangerous place and those who do not understand the global infrastructure of terrorism do a grave disservice to so presuppose the world and all its complications.

It would be nice indeed, if we could live simply so others could simply live. The world doesn't work this way, unfortunately. There are those in the world who want to harm us, to destroy us and anyone who doesn't believe this must be in isolation and incredibly naive.

Now, don't reply with statements about Manifest Destiny, U.S. Imperialism, etc. Two wrongs do not make a right.

Me? You talkin' a me? :) Not my lingo.

I meant that he'd presupposed me.

    See, it's all about me.

Wow, you must really have me confused with another. I had to look up Max. But then, I was looking other things up. Did you know Pelosi is hairy? No, really.

Lucado has a book out entitled It's Not About Me.

Pelosi? Ever look at still pictures of her? She doesn't even believe what she's saying!

    Ted Heiks,

Your probably right, he must have had "a lot" of spare time, especially when it was his wife Hillary who seemed to be the one who was leading the country during that period.:(

My recollection and understanding of the Balkian conflict is that is a UN peace keeping mission. The US did not invade the former Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia was in the process of a civil war in which ethnic cleansing was going on and the UN voted to assist and the US was one of many to respond and send in troops.

Similarly Somalia was set up as a humanitarian effort. That got very ugly for the US.

Neither time was the goal a coup d'etat.

The goal in Iraq(since the US invasion) has been regime change.

How could you possibly have a "regime change" in a country (Somalia) that has no central government??

Wow Rich, that's very original. On the other hand, don't they say Trickey Dick Cheney is running the country? That's a refreshing thought.

I say give the best man or woman a chance! It makes no difference to me, I don't have any macho man issues. :)

    Have a good weekend Melissa!

    Claire Wolfe.

Most notable comment: "America is at that awkward stage. It’s too late to work within the system, but
too early to shoot the bastards."

Surely you're kidding. Although her running mate last time, Gloria LaRiva, is kinda cute.

  17. I agree, Jimmy. She IS cute..... ;)

Condi would be fine if she can stay untainted by politics.

Mary Ruwart, Nancy Lord, Jo Jorgensen, or Carla Howell would be good candidates. Claire Wolfe would be all right too.

I would not be unhappy with Olympia Snowe or Susan Collins either.

Well Carl, if we're going to agree on anything, I guess it should be something as silly as how a candidate looks. :D

Take care my friend. Just don't vote for someone on looks. ;)

Actually, I've never seen pictures of Monica Moorhead or any of her running mates. So I really am in no position to evaluate the cuteness of any of them. But, shouldn't the president be more than just cute, now, Jimmy? Like, maybe, intelligent?
