Strange but I got an email notification of a new post here that included a link to a free Psych Cert from a place called Park Manor. I won't link since it may have been deleted (or declared a mill) but I deleted the email.

    What's the scoop on it?

I got the same email linking to Park Manor Academy. Checked out the site - the info is interesting, but it looks like the actual certificate isn't given out right now (got a "we are on break" message when I clicked on the link for becoming a new student).

Even without the cert, it looks like decent, concise info on psychology. Def worth reading.

With the cert, heck - it's free.

I took 2 weeks to completed this course fulltime. The exams were timed and were fairly difficult. It cost me $10 to recieved the certificate. In my opinion the plus is the certificate. During my reseach I found similiar free information but with no certificate. I would recommend it as part of the prep for the GRE Psychology exam, CLEP etc.

Yeah I read through the site and it didn't try to proclaim it was a College/University. The course curriculum looked interesting as well. Hmmm....

    Please

    Good afternoon!

    Could you help me, please?

I wish to study in the USA or in a European country. I wish to choose the remote form, not to visit the country as it is expensive. Are there free courses in English which train in the humanities in your country?

The literature, English, publishing business, philosophy, philology, editing, advertising, public relations are interesting to me.

I'm looking for courses, where certificate or diploma may be not free.

If you send me the reference to a free remote course, I will be very glad!

    Thank you!

    I haven't watched these yet
Computer Science I: Programming Methodology | Stanford Video Course

    but the course description says
"Programming Methodology teaches the widely-used Java programming language along with good software engineering principles. Emphasis is on good programming style and the built-in facilities of the Java language."

Thats one awesome thread, I'd like to make my contribution too! :)

Visit Khan Academy This guy is a graduate from MIT and has developed hundreds if not thousands of free teaching material that covers IT, Business and finance, Chemistry, Physics, Algebra and what not. He has uploaded all the lectures on youtube, so you can access them from there as well.

I have seen few videos by him and they were pretty good, atleast for a rookie it was. I loved it, hope you guys would like it too!

Great thread!! I was wondering though.....I'm looking for a Master's in Criminal Justice and/or counseling related field. Are there any (State approved at minimum) schools offering free to low cost tuition for such a degree???
